Noosa

Whilst staying in Noosa you can choose to chill out by the awesome Noosa Main beach or shop up a storm on Hastings street! However on Noosa’s doorstep there are many exciting adventures to be had, I am going to share with you the 5 must do adventures; you should start adding to your list!

Noosa National Park

You can’t really miss Noosa National Park, as it is right next to Noosa Main beach!  Here you will find a very picturesque coastal walking track.  On this walk you are not only surrounded by tall trees but also the sparkling blue waters of the ocean.  Nestled in the trees are koala’s so keep your eyes peeled and while looking out to sea you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins & turtles.  Along the way there a number of lovely little beaches you may choose to swim at, my favourite one being Tea Tree Bay.

 Eumundi Markets

Eumundi Markets is not located in Noosa but in a lovely mountain town called Montville. It is approximately a 50 minute drive but worth it if you are staying at Noosa.  There you will find at least 600 local vendors with unique and intriguing stalls.  Afterwards you can then explore around Montville as it is a very delightful mountain town.

Spirit house

Spirit house is situated in Yandina which is approximately 30 minutes drive from Noosa.  The setting of the restaurant is absolutely amazing! Immediately as you walk through the door you are transported into a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere.  The cuisine served is  contemporary Thai and the tables are positioned around a pond with lots of greenery and a friendly water dragon!  The food is just as nice as the setting with lovely flavours and aromas; you will be very satisfied with your meal.  So make sure you book in advance, as it is a popular place for the locals to dine at. If you’re a keen cooker they also hold cooking classes you can participate in.

Mount Coolum

Mount Coolum is made from a volcanic dome and is approximately 208 metres high.  If you are staying at Noosa then a visit to Mount Coolum is definitely worth it.  The track is made up of rock stairs and it is a very nice hike with beautiful views along the way.  Once you reach the top you can see right out to the ocean.

Fraser Island

Why is Fraser Island worth exploring? Well it is the largest sand island in Australia that is well over 120km long.  4WD tours from Noosa are the most convenient way to reach Fraser Island.  Fraser island adventure tours are one company you will find that provides guided day trips with all inclusive meals. You can experience some magnificent views from Indian head or check out the Cathedrals, a famous and unique land mark on the island.  There are also many beaches and freshwater lakes to swim in and if you’re keen to keep exploring, you can camp overnight!
