ALOHA!

Hawaii is ONE of my favourite holiday getaways.  From the beautiful warm weather, crystal clear oceans, giant size American food and of course the shopping! There are also so many adventures to be had.

Here is a list of what NOT to miss when you visit the beautiful island O’ahu:

Kailua beach

This is my absolute must go to beach on the island! Hire Kayaks from ‘Kailua beach adventures’ and explore further around the crystal clear blue waters. And definitely keep an eye out for turtles swimming by!

Hanauma Bay

Get there bright and early so you can pay your $7.50 admission fee and find a nice spot to set up for the day. My advice is to bring your own snorkel gear! This will save you not having to hire it on the day.   Make sure that you have some lunch packed; plenty of water and slip, slop, slap (sunscreen and a hat).

Diamond Head

Do not miss this phenomenal 360 view of Honolulu.  Whilst taking in the views along the way. It is approximately a 40 minute steady climb to the top but it is every bit worth the trek. My advice for this adventure is wake up early so you can get there before sunrise!

Waikiki beach

The iconic Waikiki beach is definitely a must see whilst on the island of O’ahu.  Most of the hotels are situated around the beach; there are lots of fantastic restaurants, shops and markets.  Taking a trip on a catamaran at sunset is not only relaxing, but a great way to take it all in.

USS Arizona Memorial

This is a must see and I recommend making reservations or going with a tour group. Once again getting there early is always good idea, you will really gain a true understanding of Pearl Harbour.

Ala Moana Center

I f you are a keen shopper like myself or just want to snap up a few bargains then Ala Moana Center is the place for you! By far the best place to shop in Waikiki! Best way to get there is by the bus.

Germaines Luau

Germaines Luau happens to be my favourite! It is laid-back and very welcoming. You really get a cultural experience here that you will remember forever! There are fantastic Polynesian dances that will have you captivated.  The food is also yummy with a wide range of options on the buffet.
